A gift from CERN Director for Accelerators and Technology, Frédérick Bordry, 14 May

The Inscription:
Very happy to give this book and to participate in the People’s Bookshelf initiative. This book illustrates the LHC (Large Hadrosn Collider) project. It’s complexity, it’s tehcnologies but especially the many open collaborations to succeeed to built, to install and to operate such international and scientific machine and detectors.

The CERN exhibition in the National Library of Latvia is really a good symbol of the importance of knowledge and education.
It is and important milestone towards the Latvia process to become an Associate Member and a full member of the large CERN Family.
